Gold medals in Lingen

5 June 2008

The Australian Equestrian team has had indifferent results at the international dressage event in Germany.

The selectors will have some tough choices to make when it comes to selecting the team over the next month.

The stand out performer was NSWIS’s Kristy Oatley-Nist, who gained a first place along with two third places and a fourth.

Kristy’s gold came in the 2008 Medien Cup Qualifier where she edged past a German competitor by just 0.05%.

Other strong results came with Heath Ryan gaining a fourth and Brett Parbery coming seventh in the Grand Prix Consolation class.

The Australian team will now wait for the full Olympic team to be announced on July 4.
