NSWIS athletes Jamie Dwyer and Eli Matheson helped the Kookaburras to a draw, 2-2 with Korea, in the final game of the pre-Olympics tri-series in Cairns.
A late Korean goal denied the Kookaburras of a clean sweep of the series, after victories in the first two outings.
The Kookaburras successfully controlled the tempo of the match in the first half, patiently working the ball through the midfield in a bid to maintain possession.
However despite the Kookaburras controlling the majority of the play early in the match it was Korea who struck first, continuing their solid penalty corner conversion rate.
The Kookaburras soon regrouped, converting their own penalty corner only minutes later.
Once again controlling the tempo the Kookaburras snuck a 2-1 lead heading into half-time.
The second half was played at a much more controlled pace, with neither team able to mount many genuine shots on goal.
It appeared the Kookaburras would hang on for their third win of the series however a Korean field goal with just over a minute remaining once again levelled the score.
The Kookaburras will depart for Beijing on July 31.
