The Hockeyroos have made amends for their recent defeat at the hands of Japan to win the second game of a four test series in Japan.
After conceding a penalty corner in the eighth minute the Hockeyroos went on to regain their composure and take out the match 2-1.
Although they recorded double the amount of circle penetrations and shots on goal, the Hockeyoos were unable to find the back of the net in the first half.
But they scored two quick goals in the second and lifted their tempo to secure the match.
While disappointed not to have scored from the team’s ten penalty corner attempts, coach Frank Murray told Hockey Australia he was pleased with the efforts of the team.
”It was an improved performance.
“We did well to come back after Japan converted their first and only penalty corner for the game.
“We again wasted numerous opportunities including 10 penalty corner attempts, but did well to run out the game in hot and humid conditions.”
NSWIS player Megan Rivers was a stand out for the Hockeyroos.
Rivers is joined on the tour by NSWIS stars Casey Eastham, Kate Hollywood and Fiona Johnson.
