The NSWIS Applied Research Program (ARP) undertakes both independent and cooperative research to assist NSWIS coaches, programs and athletes in training and performance. The ARP focuses on technology for monitoring athletes, technology for athletic performance, the health of the athlete and refining their training schedules.
The medical services team coordinates and provides support to athletes in the areas of :

Nutrition
Physiotherapy
Massage
Medical services include screening of athletes to assist in maintaining the health and reducing the risk of injury of the athlete, so athletes may continue their training and performance schedules.
